Satono Aladdin (Jpn) – Livin’ on a prayer

Easter purchase at Inglis is this athletic colt by Satono Aladdin. Satono Aladdin is by global superstar DEEP IMPACT. The world’s leading stallion from 2013 – 2019, Deep Impact is the sire of 47 individual Group 1 winners and 158 black-type winners. The pedigree of Satono Aladdin also features champion sires: STORM CAT, FAPPIANO, and NIJINSKY. Full-sister Lachesis was herself a star performer in Japan, winning the prestigious Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth 11 Cup. On pedigree alone he has all the makings of a superstar stallion.
As a racehorse he was even better. Winner of the Gr.1 Yasuda Kinen Mile in 1.31.5, his time just point two seconds outside the race record for Japan’s biggest mile. Satono Aladdin showed precocity winning on debut at two years. He was a stakes performer at: 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 years, contesting 10 Group 1’s and 21 stakes races. Satono Aladdin regularly thrilled Japan’s racing fans demonstrating an incredible turn of speed and was renowned as being one of the most brilliant finishers in Japanese racing.
At Stud he has started with an explosion of winners. 10.6% winners of GROUP races from NZ bred mares. Phenomenal. Most recently represented by Pennyweka the winner of 2 x Group I races (inc. AJC Oaks). He could be the next Zabeel or High Chapparal in NZ such is his amazing start at stud. He is an exciting stallion.
This colt has genuine presence and is a lovely, athletic type who ticks every box we look for when selecting a colt for racing. He is a great walker and has held himself well at the sales.
On the mares side. Things get even better. Livin’ on a prayer is a half sister to Divine Rebel. A quality staying mare who came across from NZ and took out the Group II Chairmans handicap and the Listed Epona plate. This family are proven up to a trip. Divine Rebel is the mother of stakes performer Adele Amour and another sister Adulterer is the mother of exciting prospect Sweet Mercy. The female line of this family throw winners. Livin’ on a prayer is also the sister to Saint or Sinner and Vincent Street. Both stakes performers in their own right. There is depth to this pedigree which is very exciting.
This is Livin’ on a prayer’s first foal. We are firm believers in the strength of the Japanese stallions. Combine this with the rich depth of the NZ pedigree and we think we have found a decent colt at the Easter sales this year. To get involved don’t delay and contact us.
