Savabeel – Posy colt

This colt is by world champion sire SAVABEEL.
The stallion needs no introduction.  A son of all-conquering Zabeel, Savabeel has now won the Grosvenor Award (Champion NZ Sire) for five consecutive seasons. He has also won his fourth Dewar Award and fourth Centaine Award and is nearing 100 stakes winners including 20 Group One winners.
In the modern era, no New Zealand based stallion has come close to achieving these results.
Savabeel’s exemplary record of achievement extends to a consistent 70 per cent winners to runners ratio and 10.8 per cent stakes winners to runners ratio – both stats achieved in the 2018/19 season.
On the mothers side – No Excuse Needed is the broodmare sire of dual group 1 winner Madison County. Posy is a full sister to the superstar mare Daffodil winner of the Group 1 – AJC OAKS and the 1000 guineas.
This colt has been purchased from NZ. You only have to look at the dominance of the NZ bred horse over the carnival to see why they are so popular.
The full sister to this colt (racing name is Atishu) has just begun her career as a three year old and placed 2nd in September 2020 in a LISTED race.
She is heading full steam towards two big NZ races in the next month and if successful will make this colt a valuable proposition. with nominations to both the 14 Nov NEW ZEALAND 1000 GUINEAS  or the 7 Nov  NEW ZEALAND 2000 GUINEAS.
This colt was purchased at the Inglis Breeze Up Sale and clocked a smart 10.49 with plenty of learning to be done.
he weighs in at 498kgs and is 15.2 and a half hh. with wonderful balance and conformation.

Now is the time to get in on this colt and follow the success of his sister over the coming months – if she hits the big races the way we expect then this colt wont last long at this price.
