Farnan was the Leading First Season Sire at Magic Millions and Inglis Easter in 2024 (among stallions with no Northern Hemisphere runners), with yearlings selling for up to $1,200,000. By sire-of-sires Not A Single Doubt, Farnan is the epitome of a precocious speed sire. From that first crop we were fortunate enough to purchase the full sister to this filly in Commanding Belle. We learnt very quickly that she could gallop and were rewarded with her debut third in an early 2yo race at Randwick in 2025. The sister can seriously gallop and we have no doubt this combination is going places. Potentially the full sister is Golden Slipper bound and we are very excited about her prospects.
Which is the reason why this filly holds such great appeal. She is Bob’s eligible, very much a 2yo type.
This filly is out of a half sister to Melody Belle (NZ) who was a racing superstar.
Melody Belle was NZ Horse of the Year in 2018-19 & 2019-20. She was Champion 2YO in NZ in 2016-17. Champion Sprinter/Miler in NZ in 201819 & 2019-20. Champion Middle Distance Horse in 2019-20 & 2020-21. Top Filly on The 2016-17 NZ 2YO Free H. 19 wins. Pedigree pages do not get any more resounding than this.
We know the combination works. The stallion looks like being the next big thing. We have the full sister. Now we have limited shares no smaller than 5% each in this filly who is a bigger and better type than her sister was at the same stage. Be quick.
